Description
The GL-10 is serviced for filtration and purification of used SF6 gas to be reusable. It is capable of filtration and purification of 1200kg SF6 gas typically found in circuit breakers, GIS or other gas insulated enclosures. The unit is compatible with other gas reclaiming cart and has a maximum 0.02MPa pressure drop at gas flow rates up to 16.4l/h.
If there is a suspicion that the gas inside the electrical equipment may be decomposed it should be assumed it is and proceed accordingly. Under no circumstantces should the gas be sniffed to ascertain if the gas is decomposed. This is a very dangerous practice.
The GL-10 should be connected to the electrical equipment. The gas should be drawn into an SF6 gas reclaiming cart through the GL-10 filter. No special precaustions are necessary to carry out this procedure. The use of GL-10 does not slow down the gas recovery process.
A by-product detector can be used during this procedure to check the quality of the gas leaving the filter and entering the gas reclaiming cart.
Features
Chemical purification of decomposed SF6 gas to restore dielectric strength and filtering out hazardous and corrosive arc byproducts below normal laboratory detection limits (approx. 100ppm). Mechanical filtration of gas to remove particulates greater than 2 microns.
