The non-dispersive infrared principle (NDIR principle) enables accurate measurement of the concentration of C4 gas in the air, and the measured value is indicated in ppmv on the handheld display. The instrument is designed with a pre-search mode and a measurement mode, in which the leak is located by searching for the highest C4 gas concentration.
Non-radioactive sources; No need for pure argon or other pressurized gases |
Sensitivity unaffected by cross effects of moisture and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) |
Severe leaks, including 100% C4 will not contaminate or damage the detector |
The sensitivity limit goes to as low as 2 ppmv about 3g/y C4 |
